Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: October 2, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern use of the DEW School Furniture website and purchases made through this store. DEW School Furniture is operated by DEW Online Stores, the business originally established as Drafting Equipment Warehouse in 1994.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not complete a purchase.

Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, specifications, pricing, and availability. Manufacturers may change product designs, materials, finishes, colors, or specifications without notice.

Product photographs are provided for reference. Colors and finishes may appear differently depending on lighting and screen settings. Please review product specifications and selected options before ordering.

Pricing & Availability

Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice. Adding an item to a shopping cart does not reserve inventory or guarantee its price.

We reserve the right to correct errors in pricing, product information, shipping charges, or availability. If an affected order cannot be fulfilled as submitted, we may contact the customer or cancel the affected item and refund any payment collected for it.

Order Acceptance

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance or confirmation of shipment.

Orders may be declined or canceled when necessary because of product unavailability, incorrect information, payment authorization issues, suspected fraud, shipping restrictions, manufacturer discontinuation, or other fulfillment limitations.

If an order is canceled after payment has been collected, the applicable payment will be refunded.

Payment & Sales Tax

Available online payment methods are identified during checkout. Other payment arrangements must be approved before an order is processed.

Applicable sales tax is collected when required by law. Customers requesting tax-exempt purchasing must provide valid exemption documentation for verification before the order is processed.

For information about institutional purchasing, visit our Ordering & Payment page.

School & Institutional Purchase Orders

Qualifying schools, school districts, colleges, universities, government agencies, and other institutions may request purchasing arrangements using official purchase orders.

Purchase orders are subject to approval and verification. Submission of a purchase order does not automatically establish credit terms or constitute order acceptance.

Any approved payment terms or purchasing requirements will be communicated as part of the order arrangement.

Custom & Made-to-Order Furniture

Certain school furniture products are manufactured or configured to order. These products may include special sizes, finishes, materials, colors, or other selected options.

Customers are responsible for reviewing product dimensions, quantities, configurations, and specifications before approving an order.

Important: Custom and made-to-order products may be noncancelable after acceptance or release to manufacturing. Product-specific restrictions provided on the product page, quotation, or written order acknowledgment also apply.

Shipping & Delivery

Products may ship from our warehouse or directly from manufacturers and distributors. Shipping methods depend on product size, weight, availability, and destination.

Processing, manufacturing, and delivery dates are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates. Inventory shortages, manufacturer delays, carrier disruptions, and other circumstances may affect delivery schedules.

Large furniture shipments may require common carrier freight delivery. Unless separately arranged, standard freight delivery generally does not include unloading, inside placement, assembly, or installation.

Additional information is available on our Shipping Information page.

Receiving Freight Shipments

Customers should inspect freight shipments and count cartons before signing the carrier's delivery receipt or Bill of Lading.

Visible damage, missing cartons, or compromised packaging should be documented on the carrier's delivery paperwork. Severely damaged shipments may be refused with the reason clearly recorded.

Retain packaging and photograph damage. Freight damage must be reported to DEW within three days of receipt under our published reporting procedures. Delayed reporting may affect available carrier claims and remedies, subject to applicable law.

Please review our Shipping Information page before receiving a freight delivery.

Returns & Cancellations

All merchandise returns require prior authorization from DEW.

Return eligibility, time limits, condition requirements, return shipping expenses, restocking fees, and nonreturnable products are addressed in our Returns & Cancellations Policy.

Additional restrictions identified on a product page, quotation, or written order acknowledgment may also apply.

Damaged, Defective & Incorrect Products

If you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect merchandise, contact us promptly with your order information and supporting photographs when available.

Retain the merchandise and original packaging until you receive further instructions. Do not return products without authorization and the appropriate return address.

Manufacturer Warranties

Some furniture and equipment include warranties provided by their manufacturers. Coverage, limitations, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms.

Except where expressly stated or required by law, DEW does not provide an additional warranty beyond the manufacturer's warranty.

Assembly & Product Use

Some furniture requires assembly or installation. Customers should follow the manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety requirements.

DEW is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from improper assembly, unauthorized modification, misuse, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Website Use

Website content, including photographs, product descriptions, graphics, logos, and page designs, is owned by or licensed to DEW or its respective rights holders and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not reproduce or commercially exploit website content without authorization, interfere with website security, attempt unauthorized access, or submit fraudulent orders.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers for website hosting, payments, shipping, analytics, customer reviews, and related business services.

Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Information collected through this website is addressed in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DEW will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from website use, product delays, carrier delays, product misuse, or inability to use a product.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DEW's total liability relating to a product or order will not exceed the amount paid to DEW for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Events Outside Our Control

DEW is not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control, including severe weather, natural disasters, labor disruptions, manufacturer delays, material shortages, carrier interruptions, government actions, and supply-chain disruptions.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Disputes relating to these Terms or purchases from DEW will be handled in an appropriate state or federal court in Arizona unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

The Terms in effect when an order is placed will generally govern that order, except where changes are required by law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
